I wouldn't be certain about the civil war though - not that I don't think that the conditions are near perfect -
just that it's a different era and well?? ---------- it's different - so, the outcome might be different - and even if it did come to actual civil war/unrest - it might be fought very differently.
as to the military - well - now - that's a very interesting line of thinking - because this is most certainly NOT 1861
just think ---------- what the hell is going to happen to all the overseas military bases ---
wow --- which side would the mob in Oz be on? which side Philippines, crews in Thailand, bases in Germany -
