Have to agree with your sentiments - I am in the field with numerous research publications and yesterday's release was unclear even for me at first reading. I got the distinct impression that they were trying to be obtuse about their positive findings, to a level that is unheard of even in academia.

However, it's not as clear cut in terms of WHEN the spheres will be used, because even as a "first line" treatment it's still for non resectable liver mass which usually already has associated spread elsewhere (or expected to). Again, this is not curative and it's never meant to be. So the key is how long can it extend life.

The ann states SS differences in PFS in liver. To be stat sig, it has to be > than the variance in the current treatment; by how much will depend on their definition of P. So I cannot see how it can be SS if it only extended a couple of days.
