What you have suggested is illogical and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of both algorithmic trading and technology in general. To suggest that the ASX gives instos free reign to do what they please on their servers is ludicrous. The do not have software which is "just wandering the servers at will, hidden and reporting surrepticiously back to their Bot masters".
Bots interact with the ASX the same way that any other broker does. When it runs into trouble is when they overload a server with too many simultaneous requests. Thats it.
Quit scare mongering and spreading misinformation.
