    Yes,some truckies are absolute bastards,along with their bosses whose demands are unrealistic and result in a fair percentage resorting to the use of amphetamines,no doz and such,without much consideration it would seem to consequences.

    I experienced being pushed off the road on the Bell's Line years ago,fortunately without hitting anything,given my 4WD was an early variety without decent springs or safety features. The truck had South Australian plates,but that was all I could see after the event,as he sped away.Shook me up a lot at the time to realize that there were people of this calibre who drove trucks.

    Too many trucks on the roads today and they are pushed to the limit.A return to the use of trains for transporting goods seems a sensible option,even if it requires support from the state.The cost of lives lost cannot be measured by dollars alone,and the damage trucks do to the roads themselves,is also considerable.

    Perhaps you could report the experience to local police or your MP.
