The Cupru Min is located in Abrud, Alba County, Romania and operates the Rosia Poieni copper mine .
The co. says the deposits amount to more than 1 bill tons with an average of 0.36% CU and 1.8% silver.
In total it contains 60% of the EU copper reserves.
From what i can make out the copper continues underground below the open pit.
Block caving was mentioned somewhere but don't hold me to it.
Somewhere it was mentioned that the IMF insisted that Romania sell it.- maybe something to do with Romania's economy.
