I think OZL got lucky. I would have had serious concerns about the skills and capabilities of local staff, environmental concerns (projects in former soviet states are very toxic because of years of negligence), communication problems and bureaucratic hurdles and barriers etc....these are complicated further by the EU sticking their nose in (which may add to further environmental and regulatory problems down the track)
OZL should stick to regions Australia is more successful and familiar with. I reckon Red 5 is a quality target. If they bought that I would buy OZL. Expanding internationally is best done in small successful steps but at least they are on the lookout. If they got it cheap it might have been worth it.
