Spot on there. Same goes for the Dems though. I would even suggest that the Mitt Romney candidature was a ploy to keep Ron Paul out. The republican party leadership probably hate RP more than Obama as his philosophy steps on more elite toes.

Not really a total Ron Paul fanboi myself(though if he is hated by both sides then that is a big plus for me), just interested to see who gets marginalized and how.

Perhaps Romney's job was to make the Obama look good. John Kerry did the same in GWB's 2nd election. When the voting machine anomalies in Ohio were revealed he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. that says to me there was a setup in there somewhere.
