Thanks for that Colin I wasn't seriously implying that Kennedy was shot for that reason, mind you stranger things have happened. The author of the article you posted doesn't seem correct when he says "This is completely false. U.S. currency has not been on the gold standard since 1934" So why did Nixon renig on gold for dollars in 1971 (was it 10% backing?) Anyway, my article was written by christians and they wouldn't lie :-) I don't spose we'll ever know the truth. Just as a side note, the limit on US silver cetificates in 1963 was stated as $3b, today there is only about $2b worth of silver bullion +/- 1b . But who knows how much paper silver, up to around 3.5b in futures alone. cheers Rod good luck with the silver ;-)
