This month I know of three instances where a roo has jumped a 1.8m solid fence with no vision of a landing spot to get into our back yard - on edge of suburb in far north Canberra - there is a laneway then stock paddocks over back fence - if I wanted to I could walk to Hall.
I have never known this in a decade so assume it could be due the drought. I just checked outside back gate and there looks to be more feed outside than on our block.
I have often seen a mob of roos taking the shade at a golf course about a km away where due to some watering there must be stacks more feed.
What would induce a roo to jump a 1.8m sheet metal fence with no view of a landing spot? How it jumps out?? -- b@$#$#ed if I know.
