Carnegie as from today are not just a wave energy company.

In tonight's interview on Fox, MO said they are agnostic when it comes to battery storage and backup, meaning they are willing to choose whichever type will work best.

I would think that would also apply to the choices of energy types.

Even before EMC became part of the company, it had been decided to have solar as part of the Garden Island Microgrid Project. No one thought that was a bad idea.

I don't think they should rule anything out, as long as it works.

"Any small-scale localized station with its own power resources, generation and loads and definable boundaries qualifies as a microgrid. Microgrids can be intended as back-up power or to bolster the main power grid during periods of heavy demand. Often, microgrids involve multiple energy sources as a way of incorporating renewable power. Other purposes include reducing costs and enhancing reliability."
