Just as a matter of interest, the statement about Freemasonry being a " secret society based on the teachings of the Rosicrucian order." would require convincing evidence to be accepted. Even if only applied to modern Freemasonry. Freemasons would claim their knowledge goes back even beyond the early craft guilds to Ancient Egypt.
Also, modern Freemasonry has never been a secret society as such, only some of it's rituals and knowledge were "secret" and disclosed only to the various corresponding grades of initiates.

Whether the Rosicrucian order ever existed as a secret society is also not known with certainty.
That's the thing about genuine secret societies. They are secret. Members are indistinguishable from anyone else in their society .. unless they choose not to be.
What becomes public is no longer secret ... except the knowledge that requires personal experience and verification.
