I learnt a valuable lesson when I was 12 years old.
As a keen poultry breeder as where most of my mates at that stage my dominant rooster was killed by a snake. this left me with a dozen leghorns without their master.
After a few months one of the hens started to become the alpha female and would simulate the rooting ritual most roosters perform and if it could have I believe it would have crowed.
Then arrived Bernie the Bantam Rooster.
They fought constantly for 2 weeks only ending with Bernie killing the Lesbian Chook.
With many years since that day I always reminisce when I'd seen Gillard, Wong, SHY, Plibersek, Natasha Stott the Spoiler, Triggs, ABC Fems etc and what would we become with these Chooks controlling our lives.
