In the New Hot Copper Beta testing site, there is a widget that is importing futures prices for Commodities (Gold, Silver, Copper etc.) and they are displayed on the homepage (along with Indicies and Currencies).

The question (in simple terms) is- 'are futures prices for commodities the most often used by traders and investors'

or is there another market that is better recognised.

They just want to know what the majority of market participants would use if they are checking on the price of a commodity.

Personally I use the futures prices & have let Madmin know.
