Hi malaga, I have just recently returned from an overseas trip using the RTW tickets {5 stops} and found no problem at all with them, other than when planning your route, the countries you want to visit can be limited, due to flight schedules with the airlines, and the time you have available to travel

For example, we flew Qantas to Johannesburg from Sydney, then to Nairobi, where we did safari tours for 3 weeks.

Because we then were flying to Egypt with Swiss Air, we had to fit in with their schedule and fly to Zurich from Nairobi, spend a couple of days there, then fly to Egypt, and fly back to Zurich again before then flying to Sao Paulo in Sth America

We then used local flights to hop around Sth America till our return to Sydney from Santiagi, Chile on Qantas

As we did 3 continents, it was a little more complicated planning it all

We only travelled cattle class, but it was around $3k each, which was pretty reasonable

Swiss Air and Qantas were both great to fly with in my books
