@omg, as someone who has recently gone through a divorce I would say the best investment you can make is to not get married.
My net worth as been more than halved because of all the fees, counselling, moving costs, etc that you have to pay when you go through this process.
Oh, and up until the day she told me that she had 'fallen in love' with her boss, neither myself nor my family nor her family nor any of our friends thought there was anything wrong with our relationship or marriage.
and yes, the relationship with her boss couldn't make it to 1 year.
