We don't know who triggered the exclusive negotiation period for ROW. If there are other suitors it may have been NEU. IMO given the small upfront for the US rights, I don't think there is any other genuine interest in trof. I also don't understand why Acadia would trigger the exclusive period until the phase 3 was successful. They have made it clear with the back ended deal that they are prepared to pay up if it works.
Maybe a big fish is about to take out Acadia, and as part of that deal Acadia need to secure ROW now.
No matter what happens, a zero outcome is not going to be in the best interest of NEU in the short term.
