I can accept the not guilty verdict. It’s solely based on the legal principal of reasonable doubt. An allegation from that long ago with no other evidence leaves it as a “he said/she said”. It would set a terrible precedent if that was accepted.
Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. And it’s also irrelevant to this thread which is about the Royal Commission into child sex abuse by the church.
Their findings against Pell are damning. Why can’t you accept them? Pell is a piece of shit. Likewise to anyone who fails to call out his gross behaviour. I’m going to assume you’re an older man. Imagine if it was your grandchild being abused. Have some empathy.
