I think it has to do with 300,000 alleged CRIMINAL breaches of the corps act.

That's not a witch hunt.... it's uncovering systemic breaches of the corps act.

T his section of the corps act is designed to stop us all getting constant incessant insurance hawking calls.

Under section 992 of the Corporation Act, insurance cannot be sold via an unsolicited telephone call, unless several conditions apply (such as a product disclosure statement being read or sent to the customer before an insurance product is sold) or unless the customers have had a preparatory conversation where they agree to take the sales call.

Importantly, the law says that a call doesn't have to result in a sale for it to breach the anti-hawking regime.
