I think that these recommendations are going against a reasonably good system that has evolved.
The only main the mortgage broking industry can be saved is if the brokers are able to get better pricing from lenders than they offer directly to their customers. Otherwise wouldn't that be anti-competitive behaviour by the banks to deliberately price mortgages to destroy the mortgage broking industry?
