Yet so many people - the vast majority, I'd say - base their investment decisions to a large degree on the recommendations of stockbroking analysts.
In fact, on numerous occasions I have even encountered posters, ostensibly the independent thinkers (because they sign off their posts with the sagacious-sounding "Do Your Own Research" footnote), actually referring to broker recommendations and target prices as part of the argument for buying a particular stock.
Somewhat ironic.
