As for Tesla, I'm sure they discussed it, I really think that AT wants a fat premium for SDV, or go at it alone, so we can keep all the profits within the company, even if we have some debt to pay off. I wonder if AT, could have negotiated get a big royalty on each Tesla battery sold if Tesla wanted SDV lithium at operating cost (this can't be right given that Panasonic is responsible for supplying the materials for their battery, Panasonic would have been at the table not Tesla). I wonder though if AT is vying for a VW-battery supplier, as they are going to have to sign multiple contracts with battery providers to feed their EV ambitions. He seems fixated on VW, based on his last presentation. Who knows? Too many people want in.

It's on public record from a year or two ago now, that VW stated then, "..they, aim to become the largest manufacturer of motor vehicles in the world". I would presume, that previously stated company aim, would now also apply to 'their' EVs as well. Which 'might' give a little insight into why, AT "seems fixated on VW".
