50 % clearance for Sydney. What a surprise, just scraped in hey..
Went to an auction in lindfield, there was no bid, just crickets. Of course the auction was not reported in the above list. No auction i have been to recently has been. This is why the ckearance rates they publish are embarrasing. Needs a royal commission.
Anyway, this was a high quality home as well, rear north, walk to station, large level block, quiet cul de sac. Only parties hanging around afterwards to take part in the after auction bidding were two sets of rich Chinese parents trying to buy the place for their y gen child.
Still, they mustn't have been able to stump up enough bills for the house, as it's now 'for sale'. Passed in at a couple of hundred k or about 15% lower than 3 similar properties had sold for 6 to 12 months ago in this same street, with same orientation.
Yet the authorities say Sydney hasn't fallen. This is rubbish, at least for the north shore for over 1 million.
