summary - great to see/meet people - really worth it. Bill was $1270 with $30 left for the tip jar so I am really impressed at our collective predictive ability. Full marks goes to the travellers - a sample - Hong Kong, Coffs, Canberra, Adelaide, Tassie, 800km west of Adelaide, Sunshine Coast, others from QLD, Melbourne via Canberra - I know there were more but I didn't get to talk to all properly (the shire folk probably feel they travelled a long way too - little Sydney joke there).
i have to admit I attended feeling a little negative about the lack of progress but left pretty impressed with the strategy and energy. I concur about Josh and I didn't speak with him directly - I did understand he is a deal closer and clearly understands the science - I believe he has opened POC1s eyes to an end to end solution (and proved it while in the Brisbane labs last week) so it remains to be seen how successful he is with closing a deal. Mr Bouris certainly fired up at the right times - I don't think anyone in the room thinks he is a passive Chairman - he got feisty about not being satisfied with cash flow break even but growth, growth, growth.
Geoff was more upbeat than I expected as well - I thought he may have been a little deflated by delays but not so - if anything I get the sense something has fired him up again - maybe the activity last week by Josh around POC1? Who knows but I thought it was interesting that he said that BBI used to be the front runner but now it's probably POC1.
regarding today's trading - I'd be stunned if it was anyone in the room - we hadn't even seen the whole presentation before it sold off - we took half an hour just to do the voting stuff and the preso then took about half an hour and then Q&A for about half an hour. Unless they downloaded it - pretty much everyone was watching, listening and taking notes or asking questions. The best info came in the last half hour in Q&A and after chatting over a coffee.
Highlight - 5 staff heading off to the US, Asia and Europe tonight - working hard IMHO.
