So confused, it seems you are on the right track in terms of the info that moves gold..
the other elephant in the room is debt / growth..
if debt is increasing and growth is slowing this should be strong support for gold, even a trade war resolution is not going to solve this puzzle.. any more large scale quantitative easing will be good for gold ie printing curreny or manufacturing liquidity
the recent pull back provided a great buying opportunity so I'm back in again at 4.7
