Phil, doubt the banks would let them defer the hedge position! Whilst Syama has been incredibly slow to complete the exploration results along the belt say to me that this project is going to be produce for 10+ years and they may even be in a position to expand production within a couple of years. If you believe gold will keep going up (as I do) or at least staying around these levels this is a no brainer for the long term.
