The problem is that it is usually the lower socio economic girls who get pregnant. Making ru486 cheaper will reduce unwanted pregnancies and knock on poverty.
It's unpleasant but social reality. Without access to early stage abortions the process gets a lot more complicated, risky, and less likely to happen which will then cause more poverty.
Plibersek for once has done something that isn't totally bogus in my view.
I don't like ru486 but if my daughter got pregnant and didn't want the baby I would want her to have access to it.
