I wonder if any serious thought has ever been put into us taking the lot?
Not all at once of course however when you think of the working visas issued to bring in asian workers to support the work load needs and the call by the likes of Twiggy Forrest and others to establish greater rural/regional communities I wonder how we could possibly assist the urbanisation and development of what many caucasian Australian consider harsh conditions yet would be less of an issue for those used to desert conditions etc
I am not saying they should be living in tents or caves but I wonder if some of these refugees couldn't go along way in helping urbanise more of our land.
As most teachers have to do a tour of duty to the bush could we also have a minimum 5 years in the 'bush' as we create cities where we once thought to harsh?
I don't believe they would have to be ethnic enclaves and I think we could secure world wide funding to resolve much of the worlds refugee plight.
