Tell Julia she MUST go to an election - NOW! Absolutely ASAP! No matter how much she kicks and screams. For the Party to have any chance of credibility - they must bite the bullet. And face the next three years or so in the wilderness, allowing them to re-group.
After the inevitable tsunami-like defeat, Julia will have no choice but to resign, thus saving them the trouble and bad publicity of sacking her.
Swallow humble pie, and then appoint the very best applicant available for the job as leader.. (But who??) Not Rudd - for, despite his so-called popularity, this is illusionary and ephemeral, and would quickly dissolve. Not Shorten - too angry. and his GG connections smells of conflict. Not Swan. Not Combet (he's lying too - telling pensioners yesterday Abbott would "take away" their Carbon Price money. As if it's a bonus! How can he lie straight in bed scaring pensioners their compensation money is anything other than a repayment of monies they've already outlaid on mch steeper energy bills?) Disgusting trickery.
Perhaps Turnbull will turn tail and go lead this laboring party. Nothing should suprise in this day and age. Fraser and Hewson could go across with him. And what a coup that would be!
Anything could happen.
But, for LABOR'S sake - and ALL our sakes, Gillard HAS to go.
Do they then have the courage to do what is this simple - and which wouldy then free them up for re-positioning and re-assessments of all that is so wrong, ready for the future - two years earlier than if they wait, hidebound by the Greens alliance, for 2013!
(My advisory invoice is going in to Bruce Hawker tonight!)
Don't forget - Hawker on Bolt tomorrow. As usual, he'll baffle us with BS. He's a spin merchant extraordinaire!
