With , ahem, due respect kalaru, History DOES repeat. A perfect example is what Rudd is/has done to our important mining industry. In circa 1973 a certain Minister O'Connor attempted to nationalise the mining industry by entertaining funding from Mr Khemlani. The foreign companies exited fairly quickly and it took a long long time for Australia to become a low-risk consideration for investors. I know because my employer scaled back and finally left the country. The impact of Rudd's super tax will be the same hit on investment and employment. Have a look at what Canada is saying now in benefiting from Rudd's poor policy.
Then again History may NEVER repeat, because I for one will NEVER EVER vote labour like I did in 1972 when it was "Time for change".
Happy Mother's Day, especially to Therese (she might need to apply her clinical pyschologist skills to Kevin once his world falls to pieces. Won't be long now!).
