If only Rudd and co. had enough gumption and courage to say that after careful appraisal, they have made an error in judgement, a great deal of the electorate would forgive and respect that position. As it stands, being just a fraction on the egotistical side (IMO), Rudd's preference is to try and spin his way out of this hole. He is just digging himself deeper and deeper and losing more and more dignity in the process.
