I agree xbeastau, it's a bit Robin Hood style but people need to look at the bigger picture and not be so selfish about the now.
Low income workers are suffering harder and harder these days and need a break. About time the big boys released some of their coffers to help out a bit, (oh dear, I'll have to sell one of my yachts!) there's a lot of whingeing going on in the markets but they will recover just as they always do.

It's the greedy that kick up the biggest stink, unfortunately they're heard the most (albeit coz they can afford to pay to be) and the general public follow along like lambs to the slaughter not realising they're protesting against something that'll benefit them in the future.
This should've been done years ago though imo, and gradually as the impact would've been a little softer and looked at as quite normal over a period of time, admittedly it's quite a big hit in one go.
