TDS. I disgree..How much profits have the banks made in the last 10 years, and they had Taxpayers guarantee through the GFC....lets tax them for anything above 6% return....this is not a super profits tax, and the lamestream media is a disgrace, so they dont report the facts, which is what their job is SUPPOSE to be, not their personal agendas.

The tax is on NORMAL PROFIT, nothing SUPER about it.
If you were going to take a risk with billions of dollars, would you be happy with a 6% return?? anything above the 10yr Bond rate of about 6% is SUPER PROFIT..so lets all leave our money in the bank, and not invest in the share market, all should be happy with 6%.

BUY is still far from making big profits, so no impact there, even though i think this wont pass, not in it's current tax grabing form anyway.
