the fact is, if two people have to work for the same standard of living that only 1 person had to work for 10 years ago, we are a lot poorer in 10 years. - Regardless of if wife works or not!
The fact of the matter is most mothers want to raise their own children, especially in their younger infant/todler years.
So you and your wife might be happy shoving your infants/todlers into a public daycare system for 50 hours a week you do not make up the majority.
