look at old 50's footage with women in shops, or operators in the phone exchange, nurses in hospitals etc etc.
its no different to how it was 50 years ago to how it is now. no different at all.
But when women have kids, the kid becomes their number 1 priority, its a maternal instinct. Thats why women always leave the work force when they start having kids, and then go back to work when the kids get older.
whats unrealistic is thinking house prices can be priced this way as now there are two income earners. its a rubbish statement, and as I said, if you have to have two full time income earners to support a mortgage when 10 years ago 1 person could do it then Australians are a lot poorer.
