For my money Gillard is a waddling duck, in fact politiclly she is a dead duck walking.

Rudd will not be able to help himself, and the ALP MP's now realising that Gillard isn't going to get them over the line in their own seats, will be thinking long and hard over this Christmas break on what a leadership change back to Rudd would mean for their own self survival.

Self preservation will win over in the end, and Gillard is soon to be dumped.

Then the real pressure will come on Abbott to try and grind Rudd down. I believe Rudd would go to the polls early to prevent Abbott from getting a chance to do this, and most likely Rudd will win during his second honeymoon period.

The logic is compelling. Rudd can dump all Gillard's promises re budget surplus, can bring in the original MRRT he was negotiating with Andrew Forrest, and he can promise to root out all union corruption into the bargain.

Gillard, Swan, Conroy and others will all be dumped to the back bench and lot of them will lose their seats.

Then we will have another 3 years of incompetent Labor government sending us into even more debt and bringing in more boat people, more waste and more madness from Rudd.

I predict we will be going to another election in March to make a choice between a Rudd led ALP government or a Abbott led coalition government. The Libs will not have time to change leaders if Rudd goes early..........
