I just want to say thanks for the following comments:

As an owner of dogs past and present, and also a daily visitor to the local dog parks...I can say without hesitation that no dog with a good relationship with his Alpha pack member would leg it like that...my own dogs (spaniels) follow me around all the time wagging their tails and not just cos they get schmackos. Labs and retrievers have a very similar breeding/character.

Also, for the person who thought it was a bit low about Hitler's dog....it was an observation based on that posters experience...not a comparison

Also, Gillard would have eaten the schmackos first.

Lastly, I can say with firm knowledge that when Rudd was just a local member, the last thing his staff would call him is compassionate or a non-swearer...
