    Did you watch the ABC Q&A show last night?

    It was unbelievable the way the audience clapped almost anything said by the Labor guy Tony Burke (and it wasn't much) and how most people there expect a free university education. One received buckets of sympathy because his university books were $700 a year. Not one person told him that's been an issue for ever.

    Juie Bishop tried to point out that HEX was introduced by Labor, that repayment only cut in at $40k pa and that university graduates earned far more than the general work force - the majority didn't want to listen. Nor did the majority support the right for ANYBODY to pay for their own education because as the Labor guy said, to applause, "we are about equity".

    There's a real world and there's the world of audiences and shows like this.
