And yet Labor are likely to face anhilation at the next election if they leave Gillard in place.
I think they are between a rock and a hard place on this one. I am mystified why labor chose Rudd and then Gillard in the first place as neither seem to come from strong factions.
Even if Rudd doesn't win, I think he will make life very uncomfortable for Gillard as a back bencher in parliament every time it sits. She now can't send him off overseas on FM excuses to be rid of him.
