I've no doubt that Kevin Rudd would love to return as PM some day. Such is his sense of public service that his family made huge personal sacrifices to asist him to do so first time round.
Of course the opportunity may never again come his way.
Meantime Rudd is astute enough to put his shoulder to one of the government's biggest wheels, maintaining his composure even when Julia Gillard throws a curved ball like selling uranium to India.
As for finding a journalist clever enough to interview well enough to get Rudd to comment on his lingering aspirations - not much hope on that front I'm afraid.
