    Did you look at the National Accounts figures yesterday? We've had 22 years of consecutive growth (is that some kind of world record? I dunno!).

    We can split hairs about whether the $300 billion debt was spent wisely but if you're a highly leveraged slum lord you would kiss the feet of Rudd and his goons.

    They spent up big to keep people employed, which in turn kept taxes being paid, meant less unemployment benefits being paid, and more importantly kept the ridiculously over priced property market ridiculously overpriced.

    Howard and Costello didnt do shit to the nation's competitiveness. They made us wealthy via property. Now it seems to be successive government's job to keep this bubble from bursting.
