I had said many times before that Labor's economic stimulus packages would have saved many small business closures and countless loss of jobs. It has been a tragedy that this fact was that properly communicated by the Labor government to the public, for the public to appreciate this one big achievement of the Labor government. It had instead allowed the public policy agenda to be hijacked by the scaremongering from the opposition, resulting in a manufactured sense of crisis.
