I can hardly believe what I have just read on a Dow Jones Newsletter.

    "
SYDNEY (AFP)--Australia will double the humanitarian aid it sends to Libya amid reports of tensions between Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd over a no-fly zone over the country.

Rudd announced Canberra would boost aid to victims of the unrest by AUD$5 million (US$5 million), bringing to AUD$11 million Australia's commitment as thousands flee the violence to neighboring Tunisia and Egypt.

"It was clear from my discussions in Tunisia today that the humanitarian situation risks becoming critical as security deteriorates and shortages of food, medical supplies and other essentials develop," Rudd said Thursday.

Rudd seems to do whatever he likes. Its not Canberras money. Its mine and yours. With the present situation in Libya chances are it will not go to the people who need it but into the coffers of Gaddafi.

How much longer are we going to put up with this madness?
