I actually happened to be flicking through when he gave his final speech.
He cried like a baby ,he was still crying when they Abbott got up and gave him what seemed like a fairly generous send off. I burst out laughing.
I must say ,despite what everyone seems to think about him he's still a person . I really think he's one of these figures you get in public life from time to time who genuinely believes he's the opposite of what his actual actions and his deleterious impact demonstrate . He really did seem like a broken man .
Apart from that the way these guys blubber on about each other as if they've done the country a great public service when the majority of them are clueless fools is quite a sight to behold .
Here we have RUDD ,410 billion later ,telling us what a great bloke he was ,and even the opposition agreeing with him.
Sort of scary really ,that someone can do such untold damage ,get away with it ,and get a heartfelt send off
