Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is continuing to attract public support, with a new opinion poll showing he has a 63 per cent approval rating.
Today's Newspoll in The Australian newspaper shows 68 per cent of those surveyed think Mr Rudd makes the better Prime Minister, an increase of 7 points.
Opposition Leader Brendan Nelson trails on 11 per cent and has a 36 per cent approval rating.
The poll says however that one in three voters is yet to form a judgment about Mr Rudd's performance as Prime Minister.
