    Ihave extended family in Taree, NSW and I know exactly what goes on. If any govt is serious about making a difference , its not about wishy washy rhetoric. These ppl "govern" themselves according to their own laws. The ex PM was critisised for his NT intervention thing, but that is/was largely symbolic. There are much more dratic interventions needed right across the country, right here right now, if any one is really serious about the issue
