banjar, "things done in the past cannot be undone, wrongs cannot be rectified, what has been done is done."

Oh, that's all right then! You kill, you murder, you destroy, you disembody, you cause egregious damage to a whole people, you rob them and then you pass your loot over to your sons and daughters. Meantime, the destroyed lies on the ground breathing its last. Is everyone happy?
Sure, everyone without a conscience is happy, everyone with the callous attitude you've expressed in the sentence above is happy. Every arrogant head kicker is happy.
The others, though, those with some conscience, those who say, enough of the schoolyard bullying, those who say it's time to grow up, help others, include them in our thoughts, that lot cannot be happy. They DO want to say sorry, they do want to proffer remedies and restorations, they do want to shed the huge burden of guilt that's been draining them for so long, they do want to make mates with those their fathers have hurt so grievously. They do want to walk with their heads high, on every inch of this country and this planet. They do want to say honestly, "I believe in a fair go for all!"
