You have it the wrong way round.
Through his very public behaviour Tony Abbott disgraced himself & both embarrassed & insulted many Australians.
Nothing you say can deny those who were offended by such behaviour the right to say so.
Meantime Abbott could earn respect by being more transparent about what Australia's future would like under his leadership.
