the latest gaffe re removing advertising from cigarette packets, will cost taxpayers an estimated 3 billion... its against the law to reduce a companies competitiive advantage in the market place ....without due compensation... or words along those lines..... now as far as smokers go...50% of them die, look at the savings in pension costs, savings in hospital fees, for x amount of years....compared to all the other people... so in light of the mismanagement and loss of beds in hospitals....they should be encouraging more people to smoke and drop out early.... uh oh, I forgot the smokers are taxpayers too... I guess they will have to up the excise in petrol costs now... petrol and smokers always get hit with extra taxes
