The challenge now for the opposition Parties, is to get that message to the electorate.
Unfortunately, history has shown that the major factor influencing the punters vote, is the "hip pocket nerve".
They don't really understand the concept of debt and deficit, until it hits them between the eyes with increased taxes, decreased government services and rising interest rates.
Labor will keep borrowing to sustain their traditional support base, mainly the non productive section of the community. They will maintain welfare payments and "student" support, at the expense of facilitating growth in the economy. They need the votes.
This Labor government is merely, in my opinion, a bunch of shonks and fraudsters.
