    I think you're right oxy, going to be interesting to see how it plays out. Rudd would save some seats if he went to an election in his very short honeymoon period before voters are reminded of his gross incompetence. But he will have to already have made progress in scrapping the carbon tax and returning to the Pacific Solution to have a chance of winning it - just calling an election and promising to do these things in his campaign will not be enough, voters will not be fooled by Labor lies again.

    And he will indeed need to preference the Greens last, behind the Coalition.

    Does Labor have the guts, intelligence and competence to do these things?

    That's the question.
